The cause of death of an electrician who fell from the 53rd floor of the under- construction Wilshire Grand project in downtown Los Angeles has been ruled a suicide by the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
During a weekend shutdown of U.S. Route 101 in Los Angeles, crews began demolition of the 3,500-ft-long Sixth Street Viaduct to prep for the construction of a $449-million replacement.
“Los Angeles is in the midst of a building boom beyond anything seen here since the 1980s, driven by the severe lack of housing and the redevelopment of Hollywood and downtown Los Angeles,” Bob Hale says.
