Norway-based solar energy manufacturer NorSun will spend $620 million to build its first U.S.-based factory—a 5-GW facility in Tulsa, Okla., that will produce silicon ingots and wafers for solar cells and panels.
Faced with limited space and the advanced deterioration of a more than 50-year-old church and student center that stood next to the Oklahoma State University campus, the St. John University Parish decided to demolish the existing space to make way for a new facility.
The specialty construction market continues to grow in the U.S., adding more than 600,000 positions nationwide since 2020, according to the Associated Builders and Contractors Association.
