The Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority is hiring a construction manager to administer the long-delayed $2.3 billion Green Line Extension project, according to an MBTA press release.
A state audit issued last month faults the Texas Dept. of Transportation for several shortcomings in administering design-build projects, based on reviews of four projects totaling $3.8 billion that were procured between September 2012 and February 2016.
The North Carolina DOT’s design-build totals soon will increase to more than 110 projects, with a value of close to $6 billion. That includes the 2.7-mile Bonner Bridge replacement, delayed for four years by lawsuits.
