Approved ballot measures could provide $20B for infrastructure projects.

Ten years ago, Geoff Neumayr decided he was tired of “doing design and construction by combat.” San Francisco International Airport had completed a master plan for the complex and the front of the airport facilities doing things the traditional way.

MoreRNO, a multifaceted infrastructure program that represents the largest investment in Reno-Tahoe International Airport’s history, got underway in October with groundbreaking for a $32-million expansion to the existing ticketing area and lobby.

The Oregon Dept. of Transportation began its multi-phase Interstate-205 corridor improvements project near Portland this summer with a seismic upgrade to the 2,727-ft-long Abernethy Bridge.

Skanska is working on several other significant infrastructure projects in the region, in addition to the Williamsburg Bridge rehab. 

Work on the bridge towers remains suspended, but the contractor will begin remobilizing cranes this month with officials anticipating full dispute resolution.
