Technology has long been a focus of CONEXPO-CON/AGG events, but organizers are expanding the coverage into what is being called the Tech Experience.

With hopes that the Trump administration will make a serious investment in U.S. infrastructure and scattered economic indicators hinting at an uptick in construction, equipment manufacturers are looking to call attention to the latest advancements in construction technology at this year’s CONEXPO-CON/AGG trade show.

While most come to the annual World of Concrete trade show in Las Vegas Jan 17-20 to see the latest concrete equipment and products, more than a few of the over 50,000 attendees are there for the spirit of competition. 

The 1-8DM shot blaster can prepare concrete floors for overlayments and other coatings.

Coming off of a slow sales in 2016, Mack Trucks is confident that it will strengthen its position in the construction vocational truck market despite continued weakness in Class 8 truck sales. 

On display at World of Concrete 2017 in Las Vegas, the HP205 riding trowel is powered by twin 37-hp Kohler gasoline engines and features power steering.

The Brokk 110 remote-controlled demolition machine has a 10-ft reach and delivers 15% more power than the earlier model.

With signs of improvement in global equipment sales, including a few bright spots in the U.S., the equipment market saw consolidation and new developments in autonomous equipment in 2016.
