An attorney for Alabama-based Caddell Construction Co. has not decided whether it will appeal a Nov. 17 Court of Federal Claims decision that rejected its protest of a $95.8-million U.S. State Dept. embassy contract award to a competitor, Framaco International Inc.
In a victory for construction industry groups, a federal court has permanently blocked a U.S. Dept. of Labor rule requiring attorneys and other outside groups to disclose publicly that they provide advice to employers on how to comply with federal labor laws.
Republican leaders in the House and Senate are planning on passing by Dec. 9 a Continuing Resolution to fund the federal government through the end of March.
