As the five-year rollout of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act passes its halfway mark, funds continue to flow to nonfederal agencies, including the U.S. Dept. of Transportation’s late May announcement of two sets of grants, totaling $529.7 million, from IIJA-created programs.

Personnel moves will take effect in coming months at change of command ceremonies.

The BLS report, which updated earlier preliminary figures, revised April’s jobs figure downward from an increase of 9,000 to no overall gain for that month.

Only about a half-dozen IIJA formula-funded EV ports are in place. 

Jobs and European trips for relatives, prosecutors allege, were among the many abuses.

The largest grant, $61.8 million, will go to Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport in Michigan.
