ENR’s Excellence in Safety Award is now in its fifth year as part of the annual regional Best Projects competition. This year, ENR Texas & Louisiana is singling out five projects for their outstanding safety records and job-site procedures.

An entire city block in downtown New Orleans is being transformed into the Jung Hotel, a $130-million project with a $76-million construction tab.

“There’s no shortage of construction projects in Houston,” Ben Johanneman says.

Austin’s Water Treatment Plant No. 4 (WTP4) is capable of treating 50 million gallons a day—with expansion capability to 300 mgd.
