ENR New England is gearing up to publish it's second annual Top Contractor list. 

Officials in Maryland paved the way last week for what they are calling the nation’s first large-scale offshore wind projects. The Maryland Public Service Commission granted offshore wind renewable energy credits, otherwise known as ORECs, to two proposed wind projects with a combined value of $2.09 billion. 

A five-alarm fire at a wood-framed apartment building under construction in College Park, Md., has renewed calls to regulate “light-framed, combustible, podium construction,” known as Type V construction, in low- to midrise buildings.

KCI Technologies Inc. was selected by ENR MidAtlantic as the region’s Design Firm of the Year. 

The June 19 issue of ENR MidAtlantic will feature the annual rankings of the region’s Top Designer Firms.
