ENR Midwest announces its Top Young Professionals or 2025, along with a new consolidation of regional magazine editions, starting next year.
As the construction industry continues to evolve, the audience for ENR’s Regional Editions has shifted, with firms often working within broader geographic footprints across the U.S. With that in mind, ENR’s Regional Editions, newsletters and website content are evolving as follows:
ENR Midwest will continue to cover Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Kansas, Kentucky, Ohio, Nebraska and Wisconsin but will expand to include North and South Dakota.
Texas/Louisiana and Southeast regional editions will merge to become ENR Texas and Southeast, and New York, New England and MidAtlantic editions will be merge to form ENR East.
California and Northwest will merge as ENR West region, adding Nevada, which was previously in the region. ENR Mountain States will add Arizona and New Mexico, formerly part of the ENR Southwest region.
Much will remain the same, with each newly re-formed region continuing to publish six bi-monthly print and digital magazines, a twice monthly newsletter and region-specific digital content posted daily to the new regional websites on ENR.com.
In addition, ENR’s successful Best Projects competition/events and top firm rankings will continue to provide the same level of opportunity to showcase outstanding company work.
The following are the first selected Top Young Professionals of the new ENR Midwest Region.
The awardees will be featured in the first edition of ENR Midwest in February 2025, detailing the successes and careers so far of each. The recognition program, held annually by all ENR Regional Editions, is for young industry professionals, all under 40, who are achieving professional excellence through leadership, career progress, rapid experience and community involvement.
Judges for this year’s contest are themselves former selected ENR Top Young Professionals. They are: Emily Hyland of HDR Inc.; Abbas Kachwalla of AECOM; Sara Sadek of P.J. Dick; Megan McPhilimy of STV and Rory Mele of BHI. Judges did not score applications from individuals working at the same firm or any with whom they had a conflict of interest.
