ENR California is proud to announce that ZGF Architects has been named Design Firm of the Year.
Founded in 1942, ZGF has consistently delivered large, innovative designs in the health care, higher education and government sectors in California. The firm's designs specialize in juggling a project’s multiple and diverse purposes, such as a courthouse’s three separate circulation patterns and designated areas, a facility’s separate emissions testing areas, or a single building’s clinical and research areas.
ZGF was lead designer on multiple California Best Projects last year, including Sacramento Valley Station, VA Loma Linda, the Altman Clinical and Translational Research Institute and the Santa Clara Family Justice Center. ZGF also is designing Stanford University’s Redwood City campus under construction.
2018 marks the 30th anniversary of ZGF’s Los Angeles office. The firm reported an increase of about 35% in design revenue earned during the previous year for work performed in the California. Readers will be able to learn more about ZGF in a profile story that will publish in the May 28 print edition of ENR California.
