I am in Denver, covering the American Institute of Architects annual convention, where the AIA announced additions and updates to its model contract documents. New offerings include program management documents and a free guide for small projects. A guide for sustainable projects has been updated, as well as BIM and digital practice documents.
The new documents and updates are designed to improve the contract negotiation experience for architects, building owners, general contractors and other design and construction professionals, says AIA. They  are available in the latest version of AIA Contract Documents software, which is now compatible with Microsoft Office 2013 and Windows 8.
