Thanks to a volcanic disruption, not many of us made it this year to Bauma, the triennial trade show that is thought to be the largest construction event (also thought to be the largest trade show...period).
But the lack of flights in and out of Munich didn't leave us stranded in terms of news. One nugget that stood out was some good old East-West smack talk, a common theme these days.
Here's what happened in a nutshell: U.K.-based equipment vendor JCB went to court in Munich and busted some Asian manufacturers for allegedly copycatting their machine designs. The offending machines were either covered up or taken off the show floor entirely.
So, in an effort to circle back around after the show, we'd like to know…what the heck's under that tarp?
