Once again, ENR New York is compiling a list of the largest design firms in the region. The annual list ranks firms in accordance with their regional revenues from the previous calendar or fiscal year, which in this case is 2014. To qualify, firms must have work in New York or New Jersey.
Surveys must be completed by March 2, 2015. The ranking of each firm by their regional revenues will be published in the May 25-June 1, 2015 issue of ENR New York, along with breakouts of firms by specializations.
In addition to highlighting the performance of individual firms, the listing provides a snapshot of design activity in the region while serving as the basis for selecting ENR New York’s Design Firm of the Year, which will be chosen by ENR’s regional editors.
Honorees are selected on the basis of revenue growth, safety, sustainability, innovations and execution of key regional projects, and community outreach and workplace diversity. Previous winners include Parsons Brinckerhoff, Gensler, CHA and HNTB.

This year, we are also bidding farewell to Connecticut, which will now be covered by ENR New England and headed up by Bruce Buckley (bruce.buckley@construction.com). Our Feb. 2-Feb. 9, 2015 issue, which featured this year's 20 Under 40 winners, was the last ENR New York issue that will include coverage of Connecticut. While we will miss our Connecticut-based firms, we feel as though coverage of the state is best provided alongside its fellow New England counterparts—Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.
