ENR Texas & Louisiana has chosen 39 projects in five states for its 2024 regional Best Project awards, the latest in the annual recognitions of design and construction achievement across the country.

The publication's group of industry judges—working in four separate panels—collectively reviewed 115 entries from Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Texas, and selected the winners for a Best Project recognition or an Award of Merit.

Thank you to those judges, listed here alphabetically, for their time:

  • Matthew Cartwright, Construction Manager, Freese and Nichols Inc.
  • Isaac Garcia, Project Engineer, Robins & Morton
  • Timothy Gregorski, Senior Writer, Walter P Moore
  • Julie Huval, Owner, Marketing Operations Advisor
  • Matt McCaffrey, Vice President, Skanska USA Building Inc.
  • Natalie Pagano, Director of Marketing and Communication, Manhattan Construction Group
  • Sam Roberts, General Manager, Brushy Creek Regional Utility Authority
  • Valetta Saldanha, Project Manager, AECOM

Selection criteria included innovation, teamwork, service to the community, safety and design and construction quality. From the list below of market sector winners, this year's judges will collectively review and discuss several projects that tindividual panels have chosen for consideration as Project of the Year. Any judge with a connection to a competing project was assigned to review a different category.

Three finalists from this review will be announced at a later date, with the overall Project of the Year announced at the ENR Texas & Louisiana Best Projects Awards event, to be held on Dec. 6 in Houston.

A separate group of judges will review entries submitted for consideration of the Excellence in Safety and Excellence in Sustainability awards, also to be announced at a later date.

Congratulations to these award winners!
