ENR MidAtlantic Legacy Award Winner Champions Minorities and Seniors

ENR's editors have selected Vince Myers, founding principal and president of DIGroup Architecture, to receive the ENR MidAtlantic 2025 Legacy Award for his dedication in championing needs of minorities, students and seniors in communities where the firm works and serving as a diversity and inclusion role model. He will be featured in the March print issue of ENR East, the newly formed ENR region that includes the MidAtlantic states.
During the past two decades, Myers’ certified minority-owned firm has been delivering impactful projects for communities in Philadelphia, New Jersey and the surrounding region. Myers and DIG team members serve as role models through mentorships and volunteer opportunities.
In cooperation with Rebuild Philadelphia and a local high school, Myers hosted a design competition for students, whose winning mural design would be integrated into a newly renovated local library branch. Additionally, a high school student was selected for an internship and worked with the DIG team during the design of the Paschalville Library project.
Myers also offered pro bono design services for two non-profits in Philadelphia. These include The Enterprise Center, which supports the growth of diverse small businesses and partners with West Philadelphia communities on revitalization strategies, as well as One Day At A Time, which serves low-income, homeless and unhoused individuals and their families affected by addiction.
The firm supports diversity and inclusion of women and people of color. In an industry where 17% of all registered architects are female, women account for 40% of DIG’s licensed architect team, while 30% of its staff are minorities.
As principal-in-charge of DIG’s senior living studio, Myers is also committed to educating others on the complex housing needs of a new generation of aging adults. He is also a former board member and president of Springpoint Senior Living, a nonprofit, mission-driven organization committed to serving the elderly. Springpoint’s Life Plan Communities include senior care communities, affordable housing residences and age-in-place home care options.
