ENR Southwest has named Enclos Corp. its 2020 Specialty Contractor of the Year for its steady regional growth and many achievements.
The glazing and curtain wall subcontractor saw its revenue grow by 240% last year, up from $50 million in 2018 to $120.2 million for 2019, thanks in part to its work on two Las Vegas megaprojects, Allegiant Stadium and Resorts World Las Vegas, which will both be complete in 2020.
On Resorts World Las Vegas, the firm’s scope of work includes more than 1.2 million sq ft of unitized curtain wall with bronze glass and metal panel infill, and at Allegiant Stadium, Enclos has installed more than 410,000 sq ft of unitized curtain wall and dark gray/black glass and metal panel ribbon protrusions.
Another part of the firm’s success in 2019 was its investment in a regional, near-market assembly facility in the Phoenix metro area. Having assembly, storage and quality control in fairly close proximity to Enclos' major projects was key to supporting the installation of more than 1.6 million sq ft of curtain wall.
In its community work, Enclos makes a conscious effort to provide opportunities to local firms, as opposed to larger national companies, and in supporting local projects. For example, in Las Vegas, all subcontracted work goes to local companies for items such as equipment rental and steel fabrications.
