As the annual ENR Southeast Top Contractors survey winds to a close, nearly 100 firms have completed their entries and will be featured in the rankings published in our July 1 issue.
Industry leaders forecasted continued growth as they looked ahead last year, thanks to burgeoning populations and the Southeast’s business-friendly environment, and an early look at the numbers shows that those predictions have proved correct, with revenues growing by more than 12%.
Firms reported roughly $59.5 billion in total 2023 revenue across the Southeast region of Alabama, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Puerto Rico, marking a significant increase from 2022’s $52.8 billion, even with roughly 10 fewer firms participating. The total continues a trend of increasing revenues in the region, up from 2021 revenues of just under $50 billion.
