For Moss, 2023 brought a big jump in revenue, 300 new hires, a new home office and record business for each of the company’s divisions. That and more has helped Moss to add a new accomplishment: ENR Southeast 2024 Contractor of the Year.
Chosen from roughly 100 firms participating in this year’s ENR Southeast Top Contractors ranking, Moss will be featured in the July 1 edition, and this fall, at ENR Southeast’s regional Best Projects awards.
The firm, headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., has 1,248 employees in the Southeast and chalked up some brick-and-mortar wins in 2023 as well, including the Miami Grand Prix Racetrack at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. The Moss crew completed the second phase of work at the project in May 2023, including a complete repaving of the track, the addition of a team village inside the stadium and expansion of supporting venues.
The firm’s Boca Regional Medical Office Building and Parking Garage project won Project of the Year at South Florida AGC’s Build Florida Awards, and Moss began work on Terminal 5 at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, a $404-million, 230,000-sq-ft, five-gate terminal with check-in and ticketing areas, retail/food, baggage processing and more, set for a mid-2026 completion.
Moss, not listed in last year’s ranking, was No. 11 in 2022, with a regional revenue of $1.06 billion. Find out where the company ranks this year in the July 1 issue of ENR Southeast, along with other contractors working in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Puerto Rico.
