Raleigh, N.C.-based Sfl+a Architects was recognized as Southeast Design Firm of the Year for its efforts to promote sustainable design of K-12 schools.
The Juno Beach, Fla.-based company was recognized for its development of a wide range of electrical generation facilities within Florida, across the Southeast and nationally.
With Alabama, Tennessee and Puerto Rico recently officially added to ENR Southeast's existing geographic coverage area of Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas, ENR Southeast's annual Top Starts ranking will have its most expansive reach.
Winning this prestigious award this year is the $2.3-billion Salt Waste Processing Facility project. Completed in 2016, the SWPF was built to process the salt waste filling 51 underground tanks at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, S.C.
The culmination of ENR Southeast’s Nov. 15 Best Projects awards luncheon will be the presentation of this year’s Project of the Year award. This year, our panel of judges has nominated five entries for this honor.
