Colorado-based mechanical design and construction firm MTech Mechanical is involved in projects critical to solving a variety of health, education and housing needs across the ever-growing centennial state.

The contractor’s revenue increased from $154.8 million in 2021 to over $200 million in 2023, and since its inception 20 years ago, the firm has given more than $1 million in charitable donations to a variety of causes, particularly those that support mental health awareness and suicide prevention.

For those reasons and more, it has been named ENR Mountain States 2024 Specialty Contractor of the Year.

ENR Mountain States will provide more details on MTech in a profile in the Sept. 30 print edition. Featured projects include an all-electric 30-story Class-A office tower in Denver that will employ 100% energy recovery ventilation, water source heat pumps and VRF systems, and the CLIMB project in Louisville, a manufacturing facility for Umoja Biopharma that will accelerate the development of cancer therapies utilizing integrated cellular immunotherapy.

Other key MTech projects in Colorado include the St. Anthony North tower expansion in Westminster and the Vail Health Precourt Healing Center in Edwards. The 230,000-sqft Roosevelt High School in Johnstown, which opened in 2023, is notable for the inclusion of a pathways learning program focused on CTE.

The Sept. 30 issue also will feature the results of the ENR Mountain States 2024 Top Specialty Contractors survey. The survey, which is free, remains open until Aug. 5. If you haven’t submitted yours, there’s still time, and we encourage all specialty firms to be involved in this annual ENR tradition.
