Jason F. McLennan, winner of the 2016 ENR Award of Excellence for creating the International Living Future Institute and its rigorous Living Building Challenge sustainability program, has achieved his personal goal of getting his super-green, off-the-grid Bainbridge Island, Wash., house certified as a Living Building.
