This $92-million effort included the installation of multiple pipeline segments on a large water supply project for the Alliance Regional Water Authority in Central Texas.
The 39-hour continuous installation of the 42-in. HDPE pipe is part of the larger Hampton Roads Sanitation District’s Boat Harbor Treatment Plant Conversion and Transmission program.
To complete the major demolition and rehabilitation of this 100-year-old pump station, the project team replaced 36-in. and 42-in. discharge piping with a new loop piping arrangement, which included removing and replacing the concrete structure with new auger cast piles, slabs, walls and decking around this discharge piping.
The $330-Million Monterey Peninsula Water Supply Project (MPWSP) took a step forward, as the California Supreme Court recently denied challenges to the sufficiency of the project's Environmental Impact Report (EIR)/Environmental Impact Statement (EIS).
