The Los Angeles Board of Water and Power Commissioners approved the project, enabling the construction of the Donald C. Tillman Water Reclamation Plant in the San Fernando Valley.
The Bureau of Reclamation opened a funding opportunity for project proposals to result in measurable water savings in Lake Mead at the
Arizona-Nevada border, or to add new water to an applicant’s supply to
cut use of river water,
The project team worked through tough issues to complete the $70.7-million project in April 2022 on budget and on schedule for the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation.
