Gillette coal-fired power plant would deploy firm's innovative technology for blue hydrogen also expandable to other Powder River Basin plants.

Mountaineer GigaSystem would produce blue hydrogen from natural gas and store CO2 emissions underground on state-owned property, with its first phase to open in 2028. 

States, utilities, firms and politicians vie for infrastructure law funds to develop networks to produce and use the cleaner gas alternative.
