State will enact nation-leading requirements next month to boost first floor building elevations for most
new or renovated projects that are based on
“predictive precipitation modeling” of future flood impacts, not historic
trends.
State changes, scaled back from 'emergency' status and set for Dec. 5 official release, would raise first-floor elevations and expand flood zone boundaries unchanged since 1999.
