Construction unemployment rate falls to 3.4% in July, lowest monthly figure since at least January 2000.

December rate, not seasonally adjusted, increased to 7.4% from November's 5.7% but declined from year-earlier 7.5%.

All construction segments added jobs last month, led by specialty trade contractors, which gained 9,400.

Unemployment rate falls to 6% from March 8.7% and April 2015's 7.5%, BLS says.

BLS reports the March rate was flat with February's as the industry added 37,000 jobs.
