An extensive 12-acre revitalization and expansion project included the renovation of the zoo’s iconic Pachyderm Building and the addition of a giraffe house, carnivore building and flamingo barn.

The $11.4-million remodel and expansion of this adoption center provides innovative housing for dogs, cats and small animals as well as support space and exterior adoption areas.

Sophisticated systems, confined site conditions, an accelerated schedule and advanced materials and equipment procurement methods all amounted to a complex project.
