New extension buys lawmakers more time to work out differences on full-year fiscal 2024 agency spending levels.

New bill keeps agencies open into early March.

Congress must pass a spending bill for many key federal construction and infrastructure programs by Jan. 19.

The measure next goes to the Senate for a floor vote, which would have to happen before the Nov. 17 deadline.

Last-minute action also extends Federal Aviation Administration authorization through Dec. 31.

The bill funds federal agencies through Dec. 16.
