Owen

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District, has announced a change of command with incoming commander Col. Paul E.Owen replacing commander Col. John R. Boule II. Owen has a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, a master's in engineering management and another in nuclear engineering.

 

WSP Sells, Albany, N.Y., has hired Brian Doherty as design manager of the major projects group for the New York State Dept. of Transportation, Region 8, located in Poughkeepsie.

Thornton Tomasetti has promoted Gary F. Panariello to managing principal from senior principal and Michael Gerasopoulos and Julio C. Ravelo to vice presidents from senior associates in the firm's New York office. Umakant Vadnere has been promoted to vice president from senior associate in the firm's Newark, N.J., office.

Thornton Tomasetti has hired Thomas Duffy as a senior vice president, Michael Pagano as vice president and Robert L. Honig as general counsel.

 

Robinson

Ted Moudis Associates, New York, has hired Rachel Robinson as design manager and Crissy Hathaway as business development coordinator.

The board of directors at Burns and Roe Group Inc., Oradell, N.J., has appointed Joe Martino as vice president. He will be responsible for sales and marketing activities, including new business development of gas turbine facilities, electrical transmission and distribution, plant retrofit and renewable energy applications.

Radhi Majmudar has joined French & Parrello Associates as vice president of building design services and regional manager for the firm's New York office, while Joel Figueroa-Vallines has joined as vice president. He will assume leadership of the firm's structural engineering department.

Grassi and Co., Jericho, N.Y., has hired Anthony D'Agostino as a director in the firm's business advisory practice. He has more than 30 years of experience in finance and operations.
