The College of Music at the University of Colorado Boulder is one of the country’s top public music programs. However, its facilities were dated, crowded and disconnected. A 64,000-sq-ft addition to the Imig Music Building updates the facility to keep its music programs thriving. More than an addition of space, the design of the new recital hall, ensemble rehearsal, dance studio, practice rooms and wellness and entrepreneurship spaces helps students and faculty flourish.
Features of the addition include a state-of-the-art recording studio, dedicated suites for the Entrepreneurship Center for Music and Musicians’ Wellness Program, new classroom space and additional office and studio space for faculty and staff.

A new venue for the community, the building also is a landmark for music in Boulder and will strengthen the university’s deep ties to the community through College of Music events.
