The PENTA Building Group recently paused construction temporarily at the Limelight Mammoth Hotel jobsite in Mammoth Lake, Calif., to conduct a safety stand-down focused on suicide prevention. The event, hosted in partnership with Limelight Hotels/The Little Nell Group, welcomed members of the Mammoth Lakes Police Dept. to discuss traumatic brain injuries (TBI), the higher-than-average rate of suicides in the construction industry and how to recognize warning signs as well as providing resources and support to help prevent suicide. In addition, PENTA representatives spoke about the company's transition to using safety helmets, which offer more protection to help prevent TBIs.
