Completed in January 2024, this complex renovation included significant updates to the W Hotel’s main lobby, reception area, restaurant, ballroom, meeting rooms, banquet kitchen and exterior courtyard. The project team also completed an extension of the main grand stair structure.

At the same time, the hotel continued to operate at total capacity. To avoid disruptions or conflicts, the project team installed full-height partitions to discreetly navigate guests around the construction zones. In the hotel’s meeting areas, a temporary tunnel provided safe access to and from these spaces.

With limited laydowns pace, just-in-time deliveries kept the site clear and functional throughout the renovation process.

Additive manufacturing also played a role on the project with the inclusion of 3D-printed panels in the main pit of the lobby. Meanwhile, a NanaWall system was strategically positioned to create an uninterrupted flow between the exterior courtyard and interior main lobby of the hotel.
