Veralto, the newly formed offshoot of the life sciences conglomerate Danaher that is dedicated to enhanced water quality and natural reserve protection, sought office space that embodies its commitment to environmental stewardship and technological innovation. The 19,000-sq-ft project targets LEED Gold certification and establishes a new home for the unit as an independent company. The team met its ambitious five-month schedule in part because designers provided early packages so constructors could meet the accelerated dates. Both design and construction teams worked closely together with Danaher/Veralto and the building management to make prompt but well-informed decisions. Items such as the chilled beam system, switchgear, lighting and baseboard heating were prereleased so they could arrive on time for installation. Additionally, the team fast-tracked several critical MEP items.
The project also faced unexpected slowdowns, such as navigating flooring manufacturing shutdowns. The participants adapted to these challenges by problem-solving effectively through communication and teamwork to complete work on budget.
