There was no shortage of ground to cover as ENR’s 2022 National Top 20 Under 40 assembled in Tempe, Ariz., to shape grand ideas into groundbreaking solutions as part of a conference and a conversation on the industry’s top issues.

Next generation of leaders solves challenges at work and contributes to communities despite rapid industry changes.

From growing up in a rural town or following in the footsteps of a parent to tinkering with robots or working on helicopter engines, every one of this year’s ENR California and Northwest’s Top Young Professionals shares a common love and curiosity for the built environment. They also have a story to tell. 

 The 20 individuals selected for recognition as ENR MidAtlantic’s Top Young Professionals likely never imagined that their careers would coincide with a protracted international health crisis that would upend nearly every facet of daily life and present new and continually evolving challenges for their fields. 

This group of 20 architects, engineers, project managers, marketers and entrepreneurs is leading the way for the next generation of AEC industry professionals.
