The Earthquake Ready Burnside Bridge project in Portland would replace a busy river crossing completed nearly 100 years ago.

The project is planned to include design and construction of a 2,625-ft-long, eight-lane immersed tube tunnel to replace the aging four-lane George Massey Tunnel.

Turner Construction is GC/CM for the project, and The Miller Hull Partnership and Woods Bagot are the designers.

Work is expected to take place primarily in Washington state through October 2025 at four naval stations under firm fixed price task order awards.
