New Jersey The New Jersey Dept. of Transportation is planning the fourth of four contracts for the Route 7 Wittpenn Bridge improvements in Kearney. Tennessee Voith Hydro has begun rehabilitating the hydroelectric turbine-generator at the 135-MW Center Hill Dam in Silver Point. The project entails replacing runners and wicket gates and refurbishing servomotors. It also includes replacing the generator stator windings, restacking the existing generator, installing the vibration monitoring system and a high-pressure thrust-bearing oil lift system, and refurbishing the unit brake system. Michigan 9/11 The Macomb County Public Works Commission and the Oakland County Water Resources Commission are seeking contractors to carry out Contract 5 of the Oakland- Macomb Interceptor Drain rehabilitation. The Contract 5 repair work will be located along the Oakland Arm Interceptor, extending along Utica Road in the cities of Sterling Heights and Utica and the township of Shelby. To facilitate financing, Contract 5 will be split into two separate contracts: Phase 5A and Phase 5B, both to be awarded based on a single combined bid. 5A entails building permanent gravel roadways and temporary crossings, and 5B entails constructing two access shafts and repairing a hole in the PCI-9 interceptor.
